Geometry for Secondary Mathematics Teaching
FRM1 TASK 1 - Passed
Dynamic Software
Western Governors University
, A: Desmos Geometry is the dynamic geometry program that will be utilized to
help students study. By using construction approaches to solve geometry problems,
this software can help students learn more effectively. The ability to use the
construction tools in either order is one of the software's strongest features.
Students have the option of choosing the object first, followed by the construction,
or the other way around. Sequence order is irrelevant. This is due to the software's
objective of maintaining the emphasis on math rather than the specific order of
menus or clicks (Geometry Tool - Desmos Help Center, n.d.). It is not necessary
for students to become mired down in the software's procedural understanding. All
they have to do is concentrate on using the software to help them understand.

The Desmos Geometry tools include prebuilt structures that make the
software easier to use. Adjacent to the menu, students can design a tool by clicking
on it on the canvas. By choosing the segment tool, for instance, a pupil can create a
segment. Next, they would need to define the segment's endpoints and click twice
on the canvas. Here’s an example of this:

Students will have access to additional resources following the segment's
construction, as shown below. Every new tool explains to students what they will
need to complete the construction. For instance, a segment is required to construct
