assessment; I implemented inspection, persuasion, and auscultation to evaluate and gather data about the

to obtain a diagnosis. I asked specific questions regarding and surrounded a cough, and also inspected

using a HEENT assessment. Also asked questions that may have aggravated or elevated the pain from a
cough.

Student Response: to allow for a thorough and accurate result and outcome of the assessment
gaining the ability to complete a proper focused assessment and documentation. using all the data
obtained to establish a goal, intervention, and outcome.in order to rule out anything other than a cold such
as possible strep that is why I planned to send a throat culture to test for strep. , the steps had to be
followed for a musculoskeletal exam. Also educating the family on second smoke, along with the
medication of a cough suppressant education behind the medication. How important that education, in this
case, is due to the child's age.
Identify how your performance could be improved and how you can apply “lessons
learned” within the assignment to your professional nursing practice.
Student Response: It is essential for the lessons I am learning that will be used throughout my
practice with each patient, follow up on any irregularities or abnormal findings of the patient. Correctly
documenting all the data obtained accurately and thoroughly. in addition to not " double documentation" to
be able to spend more time with the patient.
