8.G.B.7: Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to determine unknown side
lengths in right triangles in real-world and mathematical problems in two
and three dimensions.

Standards and needs to be measurable (condition, behavior, and criterion).
- Students will be able to state and explain the Pythagorean Theorem in their own words
with 90% accuracy.
- Students will be able to use GeoGebra to construct right triangles and visually confirm
the Pythagorean Theorem.
- Students will demonstrate understanding of the theorem by solving problems involving
right triangles with at least 80% accuracy on independent practice questions.
- Students will explain the theorem and its applications using mathematical language and
reasoning.
