TOPIC 2: THE EARTH AND THE SOLAR SYSTEM
The solar system consists of the sun, planets, moons, asteroids, and comets.
Planets in order: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
Earth supports life due to water, air, and suitable temperature.
The Earth is spherical in shape.
TOPIC 3: LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE
Latitude: imaginary lines east–west measured north and south of the Equator.
Key latitudes: Equator, Tropics, Arctic & Antarctic Circles.
Longitude: imaginary lines north–south measured east and west of Greenwich.
Importance: locating places and calculating time.
