Programs Leadership in the Future As I work towards becoming a leader in the Early Childhood field,I have to plan out my short- and long-term goals to get there. In the long term my goal would be to become a lead teacher in my daycare center. I want to become a lead teacher because this way I can still be in contact with the children in the classrooms every day, but I can also help the other teachers out by giving them guidance on things that work best. The age level I would choose is four- and five-year-old or the Kindergarten Prep age range. I d prefer to be in a daycare center because that s where I ve worked for a while now, and I think I could use my experiences to provide my peers with advice on what works best.
