Project Charter
Project Background
The project will be applied by all stakeholders involved in the oversight of my dream
home. Project Charter will outline all the procedures that will be undertaken throughout the
entire process. The construction site will be located at a four-acre lakefront property where there
will also be a night and morning view of the not so distant city. The house will exclusively serve
as a family home only and will not be rented out at any point. The procedure will engage
different elements that will be implemented in different phases of the building process as well as
in different areas of the house. The house design will be a modern-day house with three
bedrooms with a bathroom in each except for the master bedroom that will have two, a living
room, a family room, a guest room, a kitchen, a dining room, a studio, a basement, a gaming
room, and a garage.
The elements will include wall framing and roof framing which will be among the initial
phases of the construction process. These elements will define the overall structure of the house.
Other elements in include landscaping which consists of excavation and foundation, species
selection that will entail choosing the most suitable materials like wood for flooring, decking
ceiling, and framing, interior work, stair work, panelling, joinery that will include inserting doors
and windows along with their respective frames, cabinetry that will consist of installing built-in
furniture, external cladding for external noise reduction, decking, plumbing and electricity
wiring, installation and interior design.
The construction is scheduled to begin on the 15th of June, 2020. The process is
anticipated to run for four exact months with it completing on the 15th of October,2020. The
