Course reflection.
I have learned so much from the entire course as every topic was eye-opening. There are a
few approaches that I would have taken for granted before, for instance, the significance of
the triple bottom line policy and its long-term repercussions on a business and the importance
of an elevator pitch. I have received life-changing insight on the need to detail out any cost,
from the most minute to the glaring ones, from the business plan financials topic. Overall, I
have realized that all businesses required the same level of discipline and most of the
approaches adopted are the same regardless of the industry and product or service.
While the course has covered almost everything that I would need to successfully start and
run a business, I am still curious to know more about the legal side of the business. As much
as I am familiar with the general legal bindings of a business, it would add significant value
to me to have an in-depth understanding and appreciation of how business and law co-exist
apart from taxation laws.
The three skills that I have sharpened thanks to the course are marketing skills, social
responsibilities as well as stock distribution to shareholders.
