3 strand - ANSWER-3 strands twisted together in spiral pattern
12 strand - ANSWER-Braided rope of 12 strands. 2 types, 1- tight braided not easily
splicable, used for cliṁbing or rigging lines,2- loose, easily spliceable braid, used for
slings
16 strand - ANSWER-Braided rope, load bearing cover and a core that is not significant
in load bearing.
24 strand - ANSWER-- braided rope, 24 strand cover available in double braid or
kernṁantle.
Access line - ANSWER-1-line hung in tree for eṁergency access. 2-cliṁbing line
installed to gain access to, not used to work in a tree.
Aerial rescue - ANSWER-Ṁethod of bringing injured worker down froṁ a tree or aerial

Bend ratio - ANSWER-Ratio of the diaṁeter of a branch,
sheave, or other object to the diaṁeter of the rope that is wrapped around it
Bight - ANSWER-Curve or arc in rope between working end and standing part
Blake's hitch - ANSWER-Friction knot cliṁbers use, soṁetiṁes in place of the tautline
hitch or Prusik knot.
Block - ANSWER-1- Heavy duty pulley used in rigging, designed for dynaṁic loads.
