Professional codes of ethics guide behavior by setting
standards for what is considered right and wrong, and to act
responsibly and have integrity. As an IT specialist, it promotes
trust with users and, in return, can build a stronger reputation
and have better communication with their users. The
professional code of ethics also assists IT specialists with
ensuring that data is secure and the user's privacy is not at
risk, as that is a key responsibility in the IT field(ACM Code,
2018).

below.
1. Explain how the selected principles are important in your
current or future profession.
Two principles that I have chosen from the code of ethics
that resonate with me the most are Privacy and confidentiality.
I am not only an IT specialist, but I also work for the
government, and adhering to these principles is imperative to
me and the missions that I support. In my role, I work with
sensitive information, and it is my responsibility to protect it from
