, Introduction
Health and safety management is seen as a fundamental aspect of the UK construction sector.
Residents and employees will be safeguarded at the site of work because of the impact of health
and safety considerations. Furthermore, a thorough approach will be taken to avoid accidents
and occupational illnesses (Edwards, 2022). The Grenfell Tower Fire case examined the
importance of safety and health considerations. To guarantee a thorough understanding of the
aspects of health and safety, the study will identify and investigate various laws and regulations
pertaining to these topics. Additionally, the study will make use of the Grenfell Tower Fire
instance in order to get thorough knowledge.
The case of the Grenfell Tower Fire revealed that, the tower had 24 storeys, and London was the
location of the tower. In 1974 the tower was being constructed. However, a faulty refrigerator is
being considered as the reason for which the fire was being originated (Rawlinson, 2020).
Combustible cladding was being considered as the reason for which spreading of the fire was
ensured quickly. A comprehensive analysis on the case enabled to determine that the building did
not comply with the factors of health and safety comprehensively (Boyle, 2018). Additionally,
ineffective management of the safety factors was being ensured which contribute to the incident.
The primary task of the study is to ensure a comprehensive knowledge on the framework of
health and safety within the industry of construction of the UK. To carry out a critical analysis on
the framework the study will leverage the case report of the Grenfell Tower. Therefore,
development of an effective knowledge will be ensured productively. Legislation of the UK,
mechanisms of control, tools of risk assessment and hazard determination, and techniques of
generating plan to manage site safety will be explored by the report productively.
