Introduction
Owner/ Client: The project is a construction of the a building cricket stadium at New
Khalipha zaid Bin Rasihd Stadium at Khalipha Street Abu Dhabi which is financed and
owned by the Khalipha zaid bin Rashid Stadium.
Design/Builder:
David and Brother Construction company has taken the contract of the this project which
is the one of the largest construction company of the world and it will control almost 80 per cent
of the project including the project planning and management of the project. The project will
start in March 2014 and it will remain in the process of construction for 24 months and it will be
completed in the March 2016 and then it will be open for the inauguration.
Project Scope
The New Khalipha zaid Bin Rasihd Stadium construction project will be will be
estimated to 1000 million. In this project there will be a 4.5 square feet steel and 120000 seats
concrete and 500 luxury suites. The structure of the New Khalipha zaid Bin Rasihd Stadium will
be of steel and the slabs of concrete on the deck and there will be some structural slabs on the
ground. The New Khalipha zaid Bin Rasihd Stadium will contain more than 160000 pieces of
steel.
As this contract is a lump sum so there will be a basic structure that will be followed by
the contractor. This criteria of the project is called the PDR which stands for project report data
which means that the contractor will have to follow every material and design that will be used
in the construction of the New Khalipha zaid Bin Rasihd Stadium will be according to the
