position must be able to provide both technical assistance in tactical information to
safely mitigate the incident

analyzing data. A minimum of three independent reference materials should be used to
determine verify hazards and risks
✔✔Hazmat medical team leader - ✔✔Responsible for the health and well-being of
personnel assigned to the hazmat group. This position is usually filled by the hazmat
rescue unit officer in charge
✔✔Hazmat Decon team leader - ✔✔Responsible for reducing the spread of
contamination from the hot zone. I'll personnel and equipment in the hot zone must be
decontaminated
✔✔Hazmat resource team leader - ✔✔Responsible for supplying personnel assigned to
the hazmat group. This position is usually filled by the hazmat specialty unit driver
