SWOT Analysis: Dentistry Just for Kids
Dentistry Just for Kids is a modern, high-functioning dental office with a multi-level
leadership business plan. This dentist's office is different because it's not just a receptionist, a
hygienist, and a dentist. They have many other positions that come into play. The leader of the
Denis office wants to use everyone's strongest asset to help make the business successful. He did
this by creating multiple positions and teams. The office has a marketing team, a finance team,
treatment coordinators, greeters, a phone operating team, a treatment team, and a team of
managers and owners. While working there, I was on the treatment coordinators team that helped
schedule insurance and provided the dentists and hygienists with any information or paperwork
they may need throughout the patient's time at the office. One of their strengths is their strenuous
interview and training process. I believe this is a strength because throughout this process, they
give personality and trait tests and place the new employees within the company based on their
qualities and where they believe the employee would be the most successful within their
company. By doing this, an employee will end up in a team with like-minded individuals, which
helps make the team more cohesive and results in fewer confrontations.
This organization also had a multi-level leadership plan. Every team has a leader who
reports to management, which reports to the owners. Dr. Steve gave an easy path to follow with a
chain of commands. The collaboration helped make the local dentist’s office a multi $1,000,000
company within our town. This office is known as one of the most successful business
instructors in our area. This is due to their unique business structure. Their objectives for this
dental office were to create a safe, efficient, and profitable dental office that cares for children's
needs.
