questions and answers
Instrumentation - • Name of the control buttons and its function.
• How to obtain CCA doppler.
• Color scale for CCA is 30cm
Color box direction - • it's necessary for the vessel and color box to be in the same direction.
• Sonographers need to concerned the angel of the vessel, match the angel of the cursor.
• The correct angel helps us to achieve the most accurate velocity of the flow.
• If you angel, steer, rock or tilt your transducer Superiorly, the vessel will angel to the Left.
• If you angel, steer, rock or tilt your transducer Inferiorly, the vessel will angel to the Right.
Color Flow Doppler - Slower flow is displayed as a darker or deeper shade of red or blue indicate
Lower velocity.
• Faster flow is displayed in progressively brighter, lighter shades indicate Higher velocity.
color bar - • BART: B (blue), A (Away), R (Red), T (Towards)
• The color on top of the color bar is flow going towards the transducer.
• Color on bottom of the bar is flow away from the transducer.
• The colors will change with the direction of the color box.
• Red should be on top of the color bar when the box is steered to the right.
• Blue should be on top of the color bar when the box is steered to the left.
• Base line represents no flow.
, Sample Volume Gate (SVG) - ➢ Represented as two parallel lines = on the Doppler beam line.
➢ The Sample Volume represents the area of flow assessed with Doppler.
➢ SVG Should be placed mid-stream (center of vessel)
Good communication - ➢ Is the foundation of successful personal and professional
relationships.
EXP: Remaining silent when the patient is silent.
nonverbal communication - consists of eye contact, facial expressions, body language, gestures,
