• It is a philosophical movement formally initiated by the Danish Philosopher Soren Kierkegaard during second half of the 19 th
century.
• It was developed and popularized by the famous French Existentialist Jean Paul Sartre during the postwar period.
• It deals with the questions like what is the meaning or purpose of life, what are we doing, where life is taking us etc.
