✔✔as roads and cities continue to make use of farmlands, what will happen to the
farms? - ✔✔The farms will slowly start to disappear. We can protect them though.
There is a group in Pennsylvania called the Pennsylvania farmland preservation that is
the biggest in the country and according to animalsmart.org has preserved over
457,537 acres. With groups like these we can save the farmland and keep the
agricultural industry going.

- ✔✔One obstacle I have to overcome is being respected. Not everyone in my life is
going to respect me especially as a 13 year old and I need to earn it. Another is just
starting out. When we get out of college and either if we need to find a job at a company
or start up our own farms. Sometimes getting business can be a huge challenge.

that means the most to me is the part that says we love the joys and discomforts of
agricultural life even when we are discouraged. I don't personally have a farm but I do
have two amazing horses and sometimes things with them workout good and
sometimes it doesn't but that is life and I love mine.

requires hard work and dedication. The most successful farms combine modern
innovation with practical knowledge from previous generations.

and planning, whether that means a successful harvest, healthy livestock or in my
case... training horses for peak performance.

keep order and get everyone motivated so objectives aren't just talked about, they are

the example of our coaches and advisers. We can then take those skills and apply them
as we move forward in agriculture.

into the animal science program at MSU and study equine nutrition. This will allow me to
secure a job which will give me the income necessary to establish my own farm where I
