1. What is a Travel Essay?
A travel essay (sometimes called a travelogue) is a form of creative nonfiction where the writer shares
their experiences, observations, and reflections from a journey. It's not just about listing places visited
— it also focuses on what the trip meant to the writer, including personal insights, cultural discoveries,
and emotional growth.
