Signature Themes
The signature themes I got are connectedness, responsibility, includer, restorative, and
achiever. Initially, I was surprised by these results – I had never thought my top five would be
these themes. I have heard of the CliftonStrengths assessment from my previous psychology
classes, so I am familiar with the test, and I would have never imagined getting these results. I
was also astonished that I only got themes that fit the executing and relationship-building
leadership domain. However, after reading the whole report, it brought clarity and made me
realize that these are the talents I did not know I had. After dissecting each theme, I can see what
it indicates about my leadership.
First, I have always been that person who believes that everything happens for a reason,
so the connected theme did not surprise me. As the test results show, I highly value relationships,
and I naturally see a more profound meaning connected to conversations, learning, relationships,
growth, development, opportunities, challenges, and purpose (Gallup, Inc., n.d.). Mistakes
happen naturally, and the inherent value in learning outcomes; essentially, every experience is
meant to teach us something and make us better people and leaders (Gallup, Inc., n.d.). This
theme may indicate that I have a strong suit in relationship building, such as collaboration,
coaching, support, and guidance. This talent could also guide me to develop a strong,
meaningful, and connected team by bringing cohesiveness and showing others how they play a
part in achieving the organization's goals.
Next, I always take on the roles and responsibilities that I commit with pride, so the
responsibility theme did not come as a surprise either. Perhaps, it is because I am the oldest
