In Japan there are a lot of robots in places like restaurants or coffee shops. There are even
primary schools where robots teach English! It seems that by using robots as workers,
Japan is trying to solve the problems of a declining birth rate and an aging society.
‘It really helps having robots work together with us. If we didn’t have them, we would
probably have to reduce the number of clients. Moreover, the elderly people are invited
by the robots to dance together every morning and so gradually become healthier,’ said
the manager of one old people’s home.
