Tuberculosis (TB) is initiated by bacteria known as mycobacterium. The bacteria may be
spread by coughing and even talking with infected individuals since they may release the
bacteria into the surrounding air. Also, the infection may be spread from one person to another
by breathing in the contaminated air. For instance, a family member with active TB disease
living in the same house with other households may spread infectious diseases when speaking or
laughing. It is an infectious disease that affects the lungs. The infection is contagious and may
spread to other body parts like the spine and brain. Moreover, it is caused by a bacterium that
may be transmitted from one individual to another person via contaminated droplets from TB
infected persons.
Symptoms of TB
There are several signs of TB as follows.
1. Coughing
2. Shortness of breath
3. Chest pain or

4. Involuntary loss of weight
5. Night sweats
6. Loss of appetite
7. Shortness of breath
8. Fatigue
9. Fever
10. Chills
