It breaks down the essential elements of composite structures, including skins, stringers, frames, ribs, spars, and bulkheads. It also explores "Fiber Science," explaining the properties of carbon, glass, and aramid fibers, along with different weave styles like plain, twill, and quasi-isotropic layups. Finally, it explains matrix systems, pre-impregnated materials (prepregs), fillers, and core materials (such as honeycomb and foam) used to create lightweight sandwich structures .
