The mind map gives an easy overview of the Harappan Civilization, one of the earliest urban civilizations. It begins with the main cities—Harappa, Mohenjo-daro, and Lothal—which were important centres of trade and culture. The civilization is well known for its advanced town planning, which included a grid system of streets, a well-organised drainage system, and standard-sized bricks used in construction. The presence of a citadel in many cities shows that they had areas for important buildings and public activities. The economy of the Harappans was strong and diverse. People were mainly involved in farming, trade, and various crafts such as bead-making and pottery. They also traded with faraway regions like Mesopotamia, showing that they had long-distance trade links. Their religion included worship of the Mother Goddess, belief in a figure seen on the Pashupati Seal, and various forms of nature worship. They also practiced simple burial customs. The final part of the mind map explains the decline of the Harappan Civilization. Historians believe it may have happened due to climate change, floods or drought, the changing course of rivers, or disease. These factors slowly weakened the cities and led to the end of the civilization.
