1. What is Homeostasis?
Homeostasis means maintaining balance in the internal environment of
our body.
It keeps body conditions (like temperature, pH, and sugar level) stable
and constant.
Example: Even when we eat too much sugar or skip food, the blood
glucose remains in a safe range.
, 2. Digestion of Food → Formation of Glucose
Step 1: Mouth – Carbohydrate digestion starts by salivary amylase
breaking starch into maltose.
Step 2: Stomach – Little digestion of carbohydrate here.
Step 3: Small Intestine –Pancreatic amylase → starch → maltose.
Intestinal enzymes (maltase, lactase, sucrase) → simple sugars (mainly
glucose).
Result: Glucose is the main sugar obtained.
