2. CASE INTRODUCTION
K.D. is a 25-year-old previously healthy female presenting with a 3-day
history of a unilateral, vesicular rash along the left thorax. The rash began as
localized pain and burning, followed by the appearance of clustered vesicles on
an erythematous base. She reports significant discomfort and concern about
the rapid progression of lesions.

"Three days ago, I started feeling burning and pain on my left side. Then
small blisters appeared. Now it's spreading and hurts a lot."
