Common Noun

Why “province” is a common noun?
The answer is, because when we say "province", we don't know which province is
specifically being referred to. Therefore, these can be said to be general names.
Proper Noun
- it refers to a specific or particular noun.
Example:
Ontario
If the example of a common noun is province, its equivalent in the proper noun is
Ontario (which is one of the provinces in Canada).
