AO1: Argument + Structure
☐ My introduction has a clear argument (not a waffle)
☐ Every paragraph links back to my argument
☐ My writing sounds academic (no “this shows that… a lot”)
☐ My conclusion answers the question confidently
AO2: Close language/form/structure analysis
☐ I analyse methods (language, form, structure) not just themes
☐ I zoom in on keywords/phrases and explain effects
☐ I include short embedded quotes (not massive chunks)
AO3: Context (when relevant)
☐ I use context only when it adds meaning
☐ I link context directly to interpretation (not random history dumping)
