Life without rights means living in fear and insecurity without freedom or dignity.
People cannot express their views freely or protect themselves from injustice. The
government may misuse power without accountability. Such a life is unfair and
unsafe.

1. Prisoners were arrested without clear charges or fair trial.
2. They were denied access to lawyers and courts.
3. Many were kept in prison for years without judgement.
4. Families were not allowed to meet or contact prisoners.
5. Basic human rights and legal protections were ignored.
