The NICET Level III Highway Construction Inspection
exam evaluates advanced knowledge and experience
required for senior highway construction inspectors. The
exam covers detailed interpretation of construction plans,
specifications, and contract documents, along with
advanced inspection techniques for earthwork, asphalt
paving, concrete placement, drainage systems, and
,structural components. It also includes quality assurance
and quality control procedures, materials testing and
evaluation, project documentation, and coordination with
engineers and contractors. Additional topics include
safety regulations, field problem-solving, and supervising
inspection activities on large transportation projects. This
certification is administered by the National Institute for
Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) and

highway construction inspection tasks.
