Abstract
There are two types of sweat glands in the body. Eccrine glands, which are located
throughout the body, but are most present in the soles of the feet. There are also apocrine glands
which are abundant in areas such as the scalp, armpits, and groin. This experiment shows the
distribution of eccrine glands in the right anterior forearm, palm, thigh, and foot. The palm of the
hand and foot are going to be the most abundant in eccrine glands, therefore they are going to
show the highest distribution. The results shown on the table below prove the hypothesis to be
true. The palm of the hand and foot both have higher distribution of eccrine glands.
