Augusts played a significant role in restoring the monuments. First, he reclaimed public
monuments, particularly the Temples of Gods, as part of his religious revival plan. Moreover, he
launched the building of monuments that would further enhance and inspire the traditional
Roman region. For instance, the Ara Pacis Augustae housed symbols and scenes of religious

Augustus changed the structures for managing public works involving sewers, channels, and
