Exam Coverage
The exam coverage includes foundational pharmacology concepts
assessed in NR 548 Exam 1, an advanced pharmacology course
commonly offered in graduate nursing programs. It focuses on
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, including drug absorption,
distribution, metabolism, and elimination, as well as mechanisms of
drug action. The exam also evaluates knowledge of major drug
classifications, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, contraindications,
and drug-drug interactions. Emphasis is placed on safe prescribing
practices, dosage calculations, patient education, and applying
pharmacologic principles to clinical decision-making in advanced
