, Introduction
Low Culture Density: When the population of microorganisms is small, there
is enough physical space for them to exist without bumping into or
interfering with one another.
High Nutrient Levels: If there is an abundance of food and resources (high
nutrient level), species don't need to compete for survival. Everyone has
more than enough, so their presence doesn't limit the growth of others.
Distinct Requirements: Neutralism is most likely when each species has
completely different needs. For example, if one microorganism needs a
specific chemical to survive and the other needs a totally different one,
they won't interfere with each other’s "lifestyle"
