-Definition:
In geography, globalization is defined as the set of processes (economic, social, cultural,
technological, institutional) that contribute to the relationship between societies and individuals
around the world. It is a progressive process by which exchanges and flows between different parts
of the world are intensified.
-Examples of globalization:
-Cultural globalization: refers to the intermixing of different cultures, resulting in nations adopting
principles, beliefs and customs from other nations.
-Political globalization: the development and growing influence of international organizations such
as the UN or WHO, in which governmental action takes place at an international level.
-Technological globalization: the phenomenon by which millions of people are interconnected to the
power of the digital world via various electronic platforms.
-Geographic globalization: is the new organization and hierarchy of different regions of the world.
Accordingly, the world is becoming more networked and interconnected, so that various services
are increasingly available. In addition, as transportation and flying are so affordable, it becomes
much easier to travel the world, which is why it seems to be getting smaller
2. Sustainability:
-Definition:
Sustainability is the practice of using natural resources responsibly, so they can support both present
and future generations.
-The triangle of sustainability and their associated characteristics:
-Description:
Sustainability is the practice of maintaining processes of productivity indefinitely by replacing
resources used with resources of equal or greater value without degrading or endangering natural
biotic systems. Sustainability can be divided into three factors: environmental, economic and social.
All of these aspects are directly connected and interrelated. They determine to which extent a
process, project or structure can be viewed as sustainable.
