Services (eMASS)
Physical Controls - ✔️✔️Provide measures for defense-in-depth philosophy. In eMASS
these controls deal with the layout of information systems to prevent unauthorized
access to material and data.
Administrative and Management Controls (AMC) - ✔️✔️these Controls are
implemented by the Program Office and by the platform's personnel under the
cognizance of the ISSM, to ensure an information assurance program is properly
established, funded and managed.
eMASS Authorization component - ✔️✔️automates the authorization process to ensure
the security of DoD systems and consists of four functions.
eMASS - ✔️✔️the automated Cyber Security Management tool designed to develop,
collect and manage DoD IT.
-automates the step-by-step activities for performing the DoD RMF process
technical Controls (TCs) - ✔️✔️These controls provide system requirements to ensure
the functional design includes information assurance throughout the entire life-cycle,
from early requirements definition, through design and development, and allocated to
the functional design of the platform network, sun-networks and systems by the
Program Office system engineering team.
Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) - ✔️✔️A permanent record to assist agencies
in identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and monitoring the progress of corrective efforts for
security vulnerabilities found in programs and systems.
