Describe the lifestyle factors that can effect health.
Physical Activity.
An individual should aim to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity or exercise every day. This can
include walking, running or play sports such as Football. Taking part in physical activity benefits our
health in many ways. Exercise can help reduce an individual’s risk of having a heart attack, helps
manage weight, lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and will strength your bones and
muscles.
Smoking.
When individuals smoke, poisons like tar enter the blood. This makes the blood thick which increase
the risk of clots within the body. It increase blood pressure, this makes the heart work harder than
normal, therefore putting the heart under increased pressure. Poisons from the cigarettes also
narrow your arteries, which reduces the oxygen being carried to your major organs. Smoking also
damages your heart, stomach, lungs, mouth, throat and skin, as well as many other things within
your body.
Alcohol Consumption.
Alchol has many long term health effects upon an individual. It increase the risk of many types of
cancers, diabetes, pancreatists and also heart diesese.
