, How to use Quick Facts for NCLEX®
Believe me when I tell you that you need to know everything in this book and memorize
it from cover to cover! There is no skipping around with Quick Facts, everything is essential! On
the following page I have included your NCLEX Pre-Test and three-week study calendar. The pre-
m
out test is just that,pre-test. As you begin your study it's good to check-in and see where you are
a
cal before moving forward. I have also included my six-week calendar that comes with the full DVD
Self-Study review to give you an idea of what your comprehensive review will look like!
If you're beginning with the Quick Facts book (or QF Advanced DVD combo) you will need to study
7- 10 pages per day according to the three-week calendar. The QF Advanced
DVD is a pretty
cool resource to have at the end of your studies. It's like having a friend (named Regina) with
flash cards to help quiz you what you've studied. Most of our nurses take this book
on
EVERYWHERE and review it multiple times before testing. You need to know this material like
the
back of your hand!
Finally, no matter how much pressure you feel about this test, keep your total study times under
three hours each day to avoid mental fatigue and nursing burnout. Your nursing career is too
important to cram for. Be consistent with your study times and take one or two days off each
week to allow your mind to process what you have learned.
