Work And Energy
Work and energy are essential concepts in physics that describe how forces cause motion and how the ability to perform tasks is transferred or transformed. Work is said to be done when a force is applied to an object and it results in displacement in the direction of the force. Energy is the capacity to do work and exists in various forms, such as kinetic energy (energy due to motion) and potential energy (stored energy due to position or condition). When work is done on an object, energy is transferred, causing a change in its state or motion. According to the law of conservation of energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed, but only converted from one form to another, such as when mechanical energy changes into heat or light. These concepts help explain everyday phenomena, from moving objects to complex mechanical systems.
