Natural Numbers:
• The collection of all the counting numbers is called set of natural numbers. Set of
Natural Numbers are also called as Counting Numbers.
• The set of Natural Numbers start from 1.
• It is denoted by N = {1,2,3,4….}
• 1 is the smallest thing to Natural number.
• There is no largest natural number.
Whole Numbers:
• The collection of natural numbers along with zero is called a set of whole numbers.
• It is denoted by W = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, … }
• 0 is the smallest whole number.
• There is no largest whole number.
Integers:
• The set of Integers consists of Whole numbers, Negative numbers and 0 (Zero).
• The set of integers is denoted by Z. Z = {…….-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 ……}
• There is no smallest integer.
• Zero (0) is neither positive or negative.
