It is a complex system for one purpose
which is gas exchange. It provide oxygen to
the body and excrete out the carbon.
It have two basic terms which is following;
Conducting Zone:
A zone or pathway where gases flow from
one place to another. The parts which
include in conducting zone are strat from
Nose and end with Terminal bronchioles.
Respiratory Zone:
A Zone where actual gases exchange occur.
The parts which is includes in Respiratory
zone are start from Respiratory bronchioles
and end with Alveoli.

Upper respiratory tract:
1) Nasal cavity and mouth:
It is a entry point of air . respiratory process
start from here. In nose there is nasal cavity
which composed of fluids responsible for to
moist the air or gases.
2) Pharynx:
It is a pathway for the entry of gases and
foods. Where gas and food enter. It is also
called throat. 3)
Larynx:
It is a gateway to the lungs and having vocal
cords. It also contain epiglottis which
prevent food from wind pipe.
