D546 Task 2 – Submission 2
Speaker Notes
Per CI, Erica Fanning, please refer to submission 1 for PowerPoint presentation.

My proposed administrative solution is to create an employee transition
plan. Although the new team will face the obstacle of increased operational
costs, it is critical for the success of the newly merged organization. There
are many ethical concerns when dealing with the merging process of two
major hospitals. The first ethical concern will be ensuring adequate
department staffing to manage the workload and avoid burnout. Next, the
transition plan will focus on cross-training and team-building activities to
help integrate the diverse hospital cultures, minimizing any feelings of bias.

team will review all Ceder Bend and Western View compensation packages
to create a new comprehensive package. Regarding the regulatory
implications, it will be a top priority to continuously adhere to the Joint
Commission's standards during the merger. This training plan will also
include training on a new EHR system that will be HIPAA compliant. This will
help mitigate any lapse in patient care from a lack of data security or access

systems, Ceder Bend is known for its commitment to excellence through its
electronic health record system and adherence to regulatory standards. The
