Significance of the Problem:
In a technologically dependent world, not having a social
media presence can cause several challenges for businesses that
don’t use it. With the rise of online shopping and social media,
“store traffic has reached record lows; small businesses globally
have been affected” (Lydia Packer, 2024). Small businesses that
do not use social media are left with a smaller and more limited
localized customer base, while businesses that use social media-
reach people outside of the local area and increase their customer
base. A lack of social media presence is creating stagnancy in
company growth and, therefore, profits. Companies that have
integrated social media business tools into their business strategy
have grown and put some of their competitors out of business.
Social media has emerged as a vital tool for businesses seeking to
enhance their visibility, engage with customers, and drive growth.
Integrating social media into the business strategy offers
significant opportunities for the company, such as brand building,
customer interaction and retention, and market expansion.


Statement of Purpose:
Integrating social media into our business strategy is the
best solution to increase business growth and profits. Doing so,
will increase website traffic, expanding our customer outreach. A
more significant customer outreach will provide us with improved
conversion rates, resulting in a more significant solid return. “Two-
thirds of Internet users regularly use social networks online; within
these social networks, consumers share or obtain information on
products and services. Businesses are responding to the
overwhelming evidence and developing a stronger presence
online” (University of Utah). An excellent social media strategy
would be a powerful tool to reach our expansion goals.
Developing such requires a structured approach to ensure that
our efforts align with the overall business goals, reach our target
audience, and create meaningful customer engagement to
increase profits and customer retention. I propose that we use the
