It is intended to be brief, on average 8–12 sessions. It can be used in conjunction with private individuals, couples, families, and groups within a wide range of social work practice contexts (Kelly, 2013)." Per Kelly, TCP is associated with a diverse-stage process that educates practitioners to collaborate closely with clients to create distinct and achievable objectives per the agreed-upon problem, typically referred to as a target problem (Kelly, 2013). A1: FIVE STAGES The task-centered practice is a well-known evidence-based practice that involves collaborating with patients to identify "distinct and achievable objectives. Once the target problem is identified, the caseworker and the client will co-create the contract that contains the target problem. These purposes are fulfilled with five activities: (1.) Engage and put in place a rapport with the client.
