Liver- Our Body's filter
The liver is the body's largest solid organ and primary metabolic hub, located in the right upper abdomen, that performs over 500 vital functions. It filters blood, detoxifies substances (alcohol, drugs), produces bile for fat digestion, and stores nutrients. The liver is unique in its ability to regenerate up to 25% of its tissue.
