, DEFINITION
Renal stones are hard deposits formed in the kidneys due to crystallization of
minerals.
NURSING DIAGNOSIS
Acute pain related to ureteral spasm as evidenced by patient verbalising pain
Impaired urinary elimination related to renal obstruction as evidenced by reduced
urine output
Anxiety related to severe pain and unfamiliar condition as evidenced by
restlessness, fear, verbalization of concern
Risk of infections related to urinary stasis and obstruction/ urine retention
Risk for Acute Kidney Injury related to prolonged obstruction and hydronephrosis
