, Introduction
This CMS ATI Pharmacology Proctored Exam is designed to assess the nursing student's comprehensive
knowledge of pharmacology across multiple body systems and medication categories. The exam consists
of 70 carefully constructed multiple-choice questions, each accompanied by a detailed rationale
explaining the correct answer.
The questions are organized into eight sections: Cardiovascular Medications, Respiratory Medications,
Endocrine Medications, Neurologic Medications, Psychiatric Medications, Anti-infective Medications,
Gastrointestinal Medications, and Pain Management Medications. Each section tests the student's ability
to apply pharmacological knowledge to clinical nursing scenarios, including medication administration,
adverse effect monitoring, patient education, and prioritization of care.
Students should read each question carefully, consider all four answer options, and select the best
answer based on current evidence-based nursing practice and pharmacological principles. The rationales
provided at the end of each question serve as a learning tool to reinforce critical pharmacology concepts.
