→ Squamous part (higher up kind of on sides)

- Cribriform plate, crista galli (ethmoid bone)
- Maxilla
- Mandible
- Palatine bone
- Inferior nasal conchae + middle nasal conchae (nose)
- External and internal acoustic meatus (in temporal bone)
- Coronoid process (on mandible)
- Head and neck of mandible
Osteology of the brain - Ramus (vertical) and angle of mandible
- Mental protuberance (bulge on mandible)
FORAMEN
- Foramen rotundum, ovale, spinosum (ROS - anterior to posterior from
mouth)
→ maxillary nerve (branch of trigeminal nerve) goes through foramen
rotundum
→ mandibular nerve (branch of trigeminal nerve) goes through foramen
ovale
→ NOTHING goes through foramen spinosum
- Superior orbital fissure (oculomotor, trochlear, trigeminal, abducens
nerve go through here)
- Optic canal (optic nerve goes through here)
- Foramen magnum (brain stem and spinal cord go through here)
- Styloid mastoid foramen (facial nerve goes through here)
- Jugular foramen (glossopharyngeal, vagus, spinal accessory nerve goes
through here)
- Hypoglossal canal (hypoglossal nerve goes through here)
- Mental foramen (in mandible)
LOBES
- Frontal (front)
- Occipital (back)
- Parietal (side)
- Temporal (side and sits below parietal bone)
