Exam Coverage
Exam coverage for the UGA History Exemption Test includes
foundational United States and/or world history concepts typically
required to demonstrate college-level historical knowledge at the
University of Georgia. It focuses on major historical events, time
periods, political developments, economic and social change, cultural
movements, and significant historical figures. The exam also evaluates
understanding of chronology, cause and effect, historical
interpretation, and the ability to analyze how historical developments
shaped modern societies. Emphasis is placed on broad historical
literacy, critical thinking, and applying historical knowledge to meet
university exemption requirements.
