Sustainable Development
Sustainable development refers to development that meets the
needs of the present generation without compromising the
ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This
definition was popularized by the World Commission on
Environment and Development in its 1987 report Our Common
Future.
Goals of Sustainable Development (SDGs)
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by
the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development.
