DEFINITION


A hybrid car combines an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) with one or more electric motors and a battery pack. The system captures
and uses it to assist or replace the ICE — improving fuel economy by 20–50% vs. conventional cars.

HOW ENERGY FLOWS

CRUISING: ICE powers wheels + charges battery via generator.
BRAKING: Regenerative braking captures kinetic energy → recharges battery.
IDLE: ICE shuts off automatically → fuel saved.
