Axis networking certification
Secure transmission of data protocol, sender pings receiver, to make sure all data was received. -
Answer-TCP/IP
Temperature contrast in the scene - Answer-When considering a thermal camera, what factors should
one consider?
Lens that has adjustable focal length, however needs to be manually refocused after change - Answer-
Varifocal lens
Time of light - Answer-Laser Focus
Whens lens format is smaller then sensor format - Answer-Vignetting
Measure of resistance to dust, and water (Order is important) Ik66 is the base for most axis cameras, but
important to remember that ik66 is the most common. Actual format is solids, then liquids but we are
measuring for dust and water - Answer-IP rating
The P frames get larger. - Answer-Why does movement cause bit-rate to increase?
Proprietary method in which Axis decreases bandwidth usage, without sacrificing quality or dropping
frames. Important to note that only h.254 and h.256 are zip stream compatible, MJPEG is not - Answer-
Zip Stream
, Rating of which a device can withstand mechanical impacts. Anything under IK06 is very fragile - Answer-
IK Rating
Method in which Panoramic cameras can give you a good picture using multiple sensors - Answer-
Dewarping
Smog, temperature contrast, and weather or fog - Answer-Deterrent of a Thermal camera
Axis Camera Station - Answer-ACS
Any camera setting in each individual camera can be pulled and made into a VAPIX command in ACS.
(Axis Camera station) - Answer-VAPIX Commands in ACS
Proprietary commands from Axis. Essentially their version of MACROS. It is comprised of 4 parts, in
order:
Ip address of device, dir (file directory of where target file is located), Argument (essentially what am i
asking for?) and Value (The end result of what I am asking for, so for example if the Argument was
"resolution" my Value would be "1920x1080" - Answer-VAPIX
Session Initiation Protocol: Basically it does what an old call operator would do, it starts and makes the
connection with the end person/thing. Then once the connection is made, it steps away. Once the
conversation is done, SIP once again will come back and close the connection on both ends - Answer-SIP
Essentially this protocol established what sound and video codec you are going to be using during the
call. For example, if you are making a video call, using h.254 and codec G.726 for voice, it will make sure
that the that is the same on the other end of the connection. Same applies if you are using h.256 and
AAC codec. IT knows that you are broadcasting a high resolution high quality music - Answer-RTP (Real-
time Transport Protocol)
